  1. Although, looking closer, it took a few more personal liberties with the map than I personally appreciate. A direct recreation would be much nicer than a recreation with added/altered bits. :(

  2. ^ Soooo... how much exactly is it NOT like the original? What specifically bothers you about it? Because aside from a new beach area and a few tiny additions, from what I can tell it looks damn close to perfect.

  3. It really is perfect... Claeric is just being a nit-picky biatch as always.

It's truly about time we get the original TS1 town that is actually of high quality. Thank you for all your wonderful work, Kate!

  4. LOL Kayla... you just barely got to it before me. :)

  5. Wow, major nostalgia right here. This must have taken a LOT of work... I can't even begin to imagine trying to replicate The Sims base game neighborhood, let alone this expanded Sims Unleashed city. It's absolutely perfect I think I might not even use any other world ever again haha!

    I'm so incredibly happy :) !

    Thanks a bunch for sharing!

  6. Claeric: it's simply a more "complete" version of the original. Nothing is changed to take away from the first town we all knew and loved. How is this a bad thing??

I love the rolling mountains surrounding the town too (reminds me of the beautiful mountains in Oblivion).

  7. I think Shivar may have been talking about the "downtown" area. That area has loads more lots than the original and it doesn't look like there are many of the original lots there.

The drawback from recreating past neighborhoods on Sims 3 is you're going to have to fit in the rabbithole lots so you're sims can actually work and shop. Other than that is looks wonderful, I may have to download it.

  8. I like it! Though I've never played The Sims. I started with 2.

  9. Yeah, I am annoyed by the downtown area, mostly. I haven't downloaded it to check the rest of it out, either, but something about it just feels a tiny bit too off.

  10. This is the best world made so far!

  11. Kat is an awesome lady! She put alot of work into this like you wouldn't believe. She always puts 110% into all her stuff.

I'm happy it's finally finished! Great work Kat! :D

  13. I do agree with Claeric to some extent. Everything about it i love. The layout is correct, definitely. Brings back memories! But the downtown area doesnt bring back any memories. The buildings dont look the same as i remember..Its completely different. Old town just isnt the same as it was in TS1 which ruins it for me. But other than that, Spot on! I understand though since TS1 didnt have a school building etc so i guess kate had to incorporate it into her recreation somehow but still, it ruins it for me.

  14. picky people huh?
I'm sure she had to adapt the buildings to the rabit holes, so they don't stand out much. I'm certain you'd be complaining if she hadn't... "the rabbitholes look so out of place *whine whine*"
    I can totally see it.

  15. @ Anon before me: I fully agree. Really picky people. Complaining on something that is free.

I never played The Sims 1 but I am excited to see this town. Installing it now and checking it out. Thx Kate :)

And at the other anon calling him a nit-picky biatch, I fully agree :)

  16. No. Im not complaining about the rabbit holes. Its just old towns roads dont match up with the original old town from TS1

  17. How can you judge something without at least downloading it?

  18. "Its just old towns roads dont match up with the original old town from TS1"

The original town didn't have all the things that TS3 base game came with.

  19. I have never been even remotely tempted to DL a world, until now. I've been playing since sims 1 (still have all the CD's) and just looking at the town brings back memories. I can't imagine the time and effort put into creating this. It's truly amazing.

  20. Wow, that castle looking mansion in the last pic brings back memories! It's the first place I moved my sims to when I learned about the money cheat.

  21. Never played Sims 1, but this town looks very beautiful.

  22. Hahaha! I'm just 20 but I did own sims 1! I had hot date too. Lol. Me and the sims go back, waay back. I don't remember any neighborhoods tho.

  23. I like it! Worth a download from me. Want to check it out.

  24. I have never played an original world either except for my own but with CAW down, that is stalled. I might just have to try this one. It is really beautiful and realistic looking. I don't even remember Unleased's layout but this looks wonderful.

  25. OMFG THIS IS SO BEAUTIFUL I CREAMED MYSELF

You know what, if you have such a problem with it, here's what you do: create your own version of this world and do it yourself.

  29. Shivar of course it's different, the original hood had what 12 lots? If that? You need to incorporate the rabbitholes somehow to make the world playable, that's not even counting the parks, gym and other lots. You also need more residential lots to sustain the population

The world looks great, it's necessary to make some changes

  30. I never played before sims3 but I bet this will bring back memories for all the oldskoolers. Please make Sunset Valley when TS5 is released :)

  31. Oh my god, this is amazing :)
I will be using this world all the time, I guaranty it :)
    Thank-you :) <3

  32. It'd be really nice, if you could start putting which expansions the worlds need, in the future. :/ I can't properly play this world because I don't have WA or Riverview, so the world cuts off from destination to another, because my game doesn't have bridges.... It'd be REALLY nice if you can start putting clarifications.....

  33. This world is amazing! I've been playing it for a week now, and I absolutely adore it. It's beautiful to look at, well balanced and constructed (with a nice variety of neighborhoods) and there aren't any technical errors or mistakes that I've found. The houses are excellent replicas of the originals, and are inspiring incredible nostalgia in me. The decor is especially good (all those green tiled counters are exactly like the originals -- and the ugly blue fridge is perfect too. My sims always started out poor and everyone had this fridge!)

Combined with Simbil's and klnl's recreations of the Sims 1 families, and this world is a real treat to play. It has now become my favorite, and I am extremely picky about the worlds I download. Bravo! This deserves to be highly recommended.
